BRCC Brought Together the UK–Romania Business Community at the 2026 Garden Party in a New Format
Bucharest, 7 July 2026 – On 6 July, the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC) hosted one of its flagship summer events, the BRCC Garden Party. Inspired by the timeless charm of a traditional British country club, this year’s edition took place for the first time at UNDA, with its stunning lakeside setting providing the perfect backdrop for one of the Chamber’s most anticipated annual gatherings.
The event welcomed more than 120 guests, including BRCC members, business leaders, entrepreneurs, diplomats, public sector representatives, and partners, bringing together the UK–Romania business community for an evening dedicated to dialogue, networking, and strengthening professional relationships.
The British Romanian Chamber of Commerce was honoured to welcome representatives of the British Embassy in Romania. During the opening session, His Excellency Giles Portman, His Majesty’s Ambassador to Romania and Honorary President of BRCC, addressed the audience:
“I was delighted to attend the BRCC Summer Garden Party and to see so many members of the UK–Romania business community gathered together. I would like to congratulate Robert Uzună, the Board of Directors and the BRCC team for organising another outstanding event. I warmly welcome Felicia Alexandru in her new role as Executive Director and congratulate the newly appointed Board members as they begin their mandates. I would also like to thank those who are completing their terms for their valuable contribution to the Chamber over the past years.
The economic relationship between the United Kingdom and Romania continues to grow stronger, and BRCC plays an important role in supporting British companies, fostering partnerships, and creating new opportunities for growth. We will continue to bring together businesses, institutions and government partners to promote trade and investment, strengthen commercial ties, and deepen the economic partnership between the United Kingdom and Romania.”
In his welcome speech, Robert Uzună, President of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Vice President Corporate Affairs at Ursus Breweries, highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for the business community to meet, exchange ideas, and build long-term partnerships.
“Bilateral trade between Romania and the United Kingdom reached a record value of £10.3 billion in 2025, representing a 4.9% increase compared to the previous year. This is a strong signal of the confidence, resilience, and long-term potential of the economic partnership between our two countries. The Chamber’s mission is to support and accelerate this momentum by creating opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and business development,” said Robert Uzună.
Inspired by this year’s Country Club theme, the event featured a cocktail dress code complemented by a white accessory. The evening opened with live music, followed by jazz performances that accompanied networking sessions throughout the event.
Guests were welcomed with a carefully selected prosecco offered by Casa de Vinuri Cotnari, the event’s Official Wine Partner. Throughout the evening, Casa de Vinuri Cotnari served a curated selection of wines that enhanced the guest experience and contributed to the relaxed Garden Party atmosphere.
The programme continued with networking sessions encouraging dialogue among members and guests, followed by a raffle featuring prizes generously offered by BRCC partners.
The warm summer evening was perfectly complemented by refreshments from Ursus Breweries and ice cream provided by Alpin 57 Lux, offering guests a welcome way to cool off throughout the event.
In keeping with the Country Club theme, Zea et Sia welcomed guests at its dedicated stand, showcasing a carefully selected collection of accessories that reflected the style and elegance of the occasion.
As one of the Chamber’s flagship events, the BRCC Garden Party continues to reflect BRCC’s commitment to supporting the UK–Romania business community by creating opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and the development of lasting professional relationships.
The British Romanian Chamber of Commerce extends its sincere thanks to all guests, partners, and sponsors whose presence and support contributed to the success of another memorable edition of the BRCC Garden Party.
